Is it me...or is the site running painfully slowly again?

threads are taking an age to load and I think it's the ads causing problems as I keep getting "internet explorer cannot display the web page" in the wee add boxes.

My typing is also appearing in the box very slowly.....tis like watching a ghost writer in action!

Is it just me?

what is that weird new explorer box at top and bottom too

mehgalegs · 15/10/2008 14:09

Flashy cursor has stopped and my computer is no longer whirring like a crazy thing.

mehgalegs · 15/10/2008 14:10

Oh tell a lie. It started again as soon as I posted.

PsychoAxeMurdererMum · 15/10/2008 14:21

tis slow for me.....and all the ads keep coming up with 'cannot display webpage'.

coppertop · 15/10/2008 14:36

I'm getting the same message as Threadie:

Waiting for eas.apm.emediate.eas.cu+9714;cre=mu;target=<span class="underline">blank;isensereferer=http//eas.apm.emediate.eu/ea s?cu= followed by some numbers.

coppertop · 15/10/2008 14:37

No underlining in the message though. Not sure where that's come from.

GiraffeAHolic · 15/10/2008 14:41

I'm having trouble with the back button, takes 4 clicks to go back, no problem on other sites

Internet Explorer cannot display ads.

Page pretends to load then stays blank and have to refresh.

ARGGGHHHH

Mercy · 15/10/2008 14:57

Not quite so slow now.

I'm getting the same message as coppertop. The message box isn't showing the letters as soon as I type - it's a few seconds behind

2shoesdrippingwithblood · 15/10/2008 15:12

aww meghalegs thanks
I nearly threw the pc out of the window

MrsMuddle · 15/10/2008 15:16

I'm about to give up and find another site. It's taking me 3 or 4 presses of the back button to get back to the list of threads, and it's infuriating. Please, please, please can we pay a fee and not have ads?

AnarchyAunt · 15/10/2008 15:26

Me too.

Ads are not loading - coming up as 'internet explorer cannot display the page' in the space where they should be. Slow to load as well, and 'back' button not working at all.

Virgin cable broadband, and windows vista on pc.

LackaDAISYcal · 15/10/2008 15:38

Have MNHQ not seen this yet?

I am also getting the same message as Coppertop but it's coming up as a security warning which I never like!

FlirtyThirty · 15/10/2008 15:46

Yes! Me too...

2shoesdrippingwithblood · 15/10/2008 17:10

TeacherSaysSo · 15/10/2008 17:14

Tamarto · 15/10/2008 17:27

Mine seems fine just now, i've not changed anything though.

pinkblossom · 15/10/2008 17:27

I am so pleased you posted this as it ha sbeen painfully slow for me today too. Tis very annoying.

pinkblossom · 15/10/2008 17:28

Oh yes and the back button thing too. Have to press it a few times to get back.

FimboGotAxed · 15/10/2008 17:28

Yes, I was trying to post a new thread in chat and lost it.

mosschops30 · 15/10/2008 17:29

Its terrible today, keeps bringing up page not available when I try and get into threads. All other sites ok

DonDons · 15/10/2008 17:49

SaTanicGore · 15/10/2008 17:51

things seem to have improved a wee bit.....and that message about the emediate page has gone.

Is it one particular ad that's causing it?
