I really don't want my local to be stuck at the top of the page...how do I deregister?

I just hide teh threads when they appear...

but they won't go away even when I hde them

Beetroot, threads from your local area stay at the top of your active convos for a short while, then disappear. (Unless someone new posts on them.)

If you really don't want to see them, click on the Local tab at the top of the screen.
Then click on the Log Out option on the Local page - this will log you out of your Local site but not Mumsnet.
