Why is your medical misogyny survey only for women under 34?

34 or under? Help us fight medical misogyny"

Just curious really - surely medical misogyny affects all women, and women of menopausal age are particularly vulnerable to this.

Seems a bit ageist to exclude those of us who are over 34.

Yes I wondered this too? Given that it relates to hormonal health then it seems to be missing a glaringly obvious cohort of women for whom this is a big issue. I would say most of the medical misogyny I have experienced in all health related matters has been in my forties.

Agree with the points above, alot of my experience of this occurred from 34 onwards

Agree!!

Apologies for the confusion here.

To clarify, the survey is open to all women aged 18 and over, and we'd love you to take part.

Women under 34 are currently underrepresented in the responses we've received, which is why you may be seeing some advertising on the site specifically encouraging this age group to participate.

fando · 14/10/2026 10:09

Thanks that makes sense. I'm not surprised you have a higher number of responses from 34 years plus. I suppose that is data in and of itself in a way!

Thank you for clarifying @KatyMumsnet - glad to hear it is open to all Smile
