Why has the inappropriate edit report option been removed?

I know you've added in 'aggressive and unhelpful' as well as 'misinformation' - but there used to be something about an inappropriate edit, and I was wondering why that's been removed.

Any response MNHQ?

Hi @BIWI, thanks for posting. We’ve simplified the reporting options to make them a bit clearer and easier to use overall. The “inappropriate edit” option wasn’t being used very often, and in practice those reports were still coming through under other categories, so we haven’t lost visibility of the issue. If something does need flagging, it’s absolutely fine to use the closest option - in most cases we’re seeing that come through as “other”.

OK, fair enough. I just wonder, though, whether posters realise that 'inappropriate editing' is actually against Talk Guidelines?

But appreciate if it's not being used much.

I still have that option.

Hey @BIWI this is in our Talk guidelines:

If you’ve spotted a typo after you’ve posted, you’ll have a short period of time to edit the contents of your message. You should only edit a post where you’ve made a mistake. Changing the context of your post using the edit feature is not allowed and may result in your thread or post being removed completely. If you notice that someone has edited their post to change its context, you can report it to us using the report button on the post in question.

We'll have a chat about making it clearer - thank you.

I've used the 'aggressive and unhelpful' category since it appeared. Very handy.
