Jumping to the bottom of the page after posting

Has been happening for a couple of days.
If I add a post to a thread the screen jumps right down to the bottom where all the ‘contact us’, ‘terms of use’ etc links are.

I also get this if I am reading a thread and click on the link that shows additional posts have been added.

I also get it if I have bookmarked a post and later go back to the thread.

Oddly, this thread is stays on the post if I add a new post!

And it opens on the last post if I return to it.

…or it opens on a bookmarked post

Same for me. I’m on iPhone.

Actually, for a few threads when I click on them I’ll be taken back to the bookmark, but for most threads I’m being taken to the junk at the bottom of the page and I have to scroll up to find the bookmark. It’s making posting and following a discussion much harder.

Oh yes! This thread is working properly.

But none of the bookmarks on, say, the Royal Family board (don’t judge ) are working properly for me.

Could you please let us know if it’s happening on all threads or just some, and whether you’re using infinite scroll or split pages?

This is now happening to me and is new.

it’s incredibly frustrating.

For ages last year the bookmark system was totally broken but there was a workaround where you could click the main title on your 'threads I'm watching' list and it would take you to your bookmark.

SUDDENLY - ie in the last day or two - it’s no longer even doing that.

MN, please sort this out as it was making the site utterly unusable before and I’m not sure I can cope with all that again.

Yes, it’s still happening to me - pretty much all the bookmarks are broken.

iPhone, DuckDuckGo browser, using mobile site not the app.

This is still happening and it is getting increasingly annoying having to scroll back to the last bookmark. Particularly with the irritating ‘Book mark added! Find it in your bookmark list’ banner that pops up (and is clearly lying!)

Please can you fix it?

Every time I open a new page of a thread, I get whisked down to the bottom of the page then have to scroll up again. So annoying!

I suppose it’s because the site is being sold off, or whatever and they will just be looking at the bottom line and introducing features that nobody asked for, rather than fixing existing bugs.

It is pointless putting bookmarks in as I just get taken to the bottom of the last page of a thread.

Ive found that sometimes the text you type stays in the box as well as posting your reply. That's when you i get taken to the bottom. Its like it's saved your reply as a draft or something?
