Today when opening and trying to read any thread on MN the screen automatically starts to scroll upwards making reading threads impossible. why is this happening. im using a Samsung phone and web version of MN. anyone else having this issue today?

I have two things happening at once @BeckyAMumsnet @JoMumsnet the screen scrolling and the advert that blocks the entire screen. I don't know if they are connected or just coincidence.

the blocking advert is particularly frustrating because the only way to get rid of it is to rotate my screen which then makes my keyboard portrait size, tiny. For someone with sight disability I find it makes the site really difficult to use with all these obstructions making it so much more difficult to use. Oh and the flashing white screen is also damn uncomfortable for someone who uses dark screen mode and then confronted with a white flashing screen every time I change threads.

Thanks, @daisychain01 - we're taking a look now.

Came here to look for this thread. This has been happening to threads I'm on regularly on an ad hoc basis. There's nothing that stops the automatic scrolling. It's just happened again on the Purdy and Figg thread. No matter how many times you refresh the page, it starts automatically scrolling up.

Me too and seems possibly linked to an advert auto playing at the top of the screen.
Chrome on a google phone.

Happened again just now on the thread about phones and a ski trip. I didn't notice which ads were playing.
