Would this idea help MNHQ and Mumsnetters regarding moderation?

Justine has recently said that moderation is going to be tightened to "tackle the low-level sniping and pile ons that drain the life out of threads and discourage people from posting in the first place."

It seems from all the threads started by MNetters lately about how nasty MN can be, this is much needed.

But often when someone is mid-rant (whether they're being deliberately nasty or they're just letting their emotions run away with them), they won't even notice that some of their posts have been deleted and will continue the rant.

This is because MNHQ haven't pointed them out or they've emailed them but not everyone constantly checks their mail.

So could there be an auto-generated warning sent to MNetters PMs on here, when their post is deleted?

This would give them a chance to log out and calm down and if they wish to continue, they only have themselves to blame if they're banned.

Obviously I'm not talking about deliberately nasty trolls who set out to deliberately upset/annoy because they deserve to be banned anyway. I'm talking about those who get a bit carried away because they're passionate or emotional about the subject.

Just a thought @MNHQ.

No worries, @ShamrockShenanigans . Thanks for taking the time to post. This has also been suggested on the other thread, too. We're going to look at all the ideas so if you have any further suggestions do add them to the other thread.
