No adblocker but site thinks I have one

I have contacted support about this three times, to no avail. I do not have an adblocker on my device, but am constantly bombarded with demands to disable an adblocker. It will demand it over and over and I have to keep refreshing repeatedly until it stops for awhile, then it starts all over again.
I suspect the algorithm is confusing my security system or my VPN with an adblocker. Neither of them have an adblocker feature. I do not have an adblocker app.
Is this a means of getting people to pay for Premium? I would, but I have heard people get permanently banned here for minor infractions, just because there are a certain number of complaints, and the complaints don't necessarily need to have much merit behind them. I know people who were banned (unjustifiably, from what they told me) so I don't want to pay for this service only to be booted out.

Can anyone suggest a way to get the algorithm to understand that I don't have an adblocker? I took the steps the site asks for to check for one and disable it several times and did not find one.

Hello @Maltipoo A few posters have said they’re seeing this pop up even though they don’t think they’re using an ad blocker. Turns out it’s not just ad blockers that can cause it as some privacy tools, browser add-ons and even antivirus software can trigger the same message.

Could you let us know what browser you’re on, and check if you’ve got any of these running?

Ad blockers
Adblock, Adblock Plus, uBlock Origin (or Lite), Adguard, Adremover, Ultrablock, Malwarebytes Browser Guard

Privacy/tracking protection extensions
Ghostery, Privacy Badger, Disconnect, Firefox Tracking Protection

Other privacy tools/services
Adguard, DuckDuckGo, VeePN

Also, do you have antivirus/security software installed? Some programs (like Norton, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, Sophos, Avast) have built-in features such as web protection, ad blocking, tracker blocking, or privacy guard that apply across all browsers. Even if you haven’t added extensions yourself, these can still cause the disable Ad blocker message.

Please try the following:
Open your antivirus/security software
Look for settings with names like web protection, ad blocking, tracker blocking, or privacy guard. Try switching those off temporarily to see if it fixes the issue.

If you’ve checked all of the above and are still seeing the message, please post back with your browser and device details so we can dig further. Thank you.

That's good news @Maltipoo. Hopefully it was just a glitch. If it returns, try the steps above; we've found that's worked for others. And if not just drop us another line.
