WTF is going on with the page loading?

Is anyone else having issues with MN talk pages loading? Honestly it’s like being a child with my parents’ dial up…. Only MN, no other website. I can’t work out if it’s loading the ads or just MN trying to force a subscription.

Used to go on in Malawi in 2009 and it was faster!

Same on chrome it’s become a nightmare

Just agreeing it’s the ads. I’ve circumnavigated the problem in my own unique way and still just about manage to use the site. It’s a shame though.

I use the Brave Browser on my Android phone, iPad, Mac Mini and Windows laptop and never see any ads.

In Brave all you do is ensure the Brave Shield button puts the shield up (turns the ad blocking on). As soon as you turn the shield off you see ads.

Theres two threads in particular I just get 505 errors on and can’t load anymore.
tried clearing cookies etc.
does anyone else get them?

I thought it was just me! It is getting absolutely ridiculous.

the comments total isn't updating, I'll see a thread in trending says 7 replies. I come back later to the site and it is still in trending with 7 replies, but when I click in could be hundreds of replies. Like it's not updating itself.
