Hi this is very definitely a first world sort of problem, but I'm just wondering whether it's possible (IDK if it is) for when we're reporting threads to be able to have the reason for reporting and submit button above the original post instead of below it?
Over the years, I've reported an awful lot of spam posts. I can usually tell from the thread title (for example: Your Trusted Tour Guide Operator In Gabarone, to paraphrase an example I just reported, or Does BanduWay Work For Erectile Dysfunction in Seattle? or Buy Cocaine, Heroin, Ecstasy From the Dark Web 100% Guaranteed). These posts very often are really long inane tripe because 9 times out of 10 they've been written by Chat GPT to be SEO optimised (read: blatantly rambling unreadable crap). The opening lines of the post confirm it's spam and I don't usually need to read the entire post to make a reporting decision. They are usually 1000-2000 words in length. Sometimes they are much, much longer than this. Sometimes they've got really nasty, offensive stuff in the text or link images that's not nice to scroll past to get to the report button in the first place.
It's a bit tedious after scrolling to the bottom of the really long post to get to the report button, to then on the report page have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the same post all over again, to just quickly report an obvious spammer.
The other issue is, it can be too easy while doing all this scrolling to accidentally tap a link from a spam post that could potentially be dodgy. I don't want to inadvertently click on a link that takes me to a darkweb page selling heroin (an actual thread I reported a couple of years ago...).
If there's a quick and easy way for someone at MNHQ to re-jig the layout of the "report thread" page that would really make the process more user-friendly. No worries if not, I'll keep reporting spam anyway.
