Notification of a post to which you are responding being deleted -real time.

@MNHQ Is there any chance that you could somehow incorporate a notification which tells a person that a post which they are in the process of responding to is being deleted as soon as it happens?
It is SO frustrating if you have taken care to craft a thoughtful response to a post, only to press send and get an 'unexpected error' message, meaning the damn thing has already been deleted and that, consequently, you have wasted your time. I get notifications to tell me that my draft is being saved while I'm composing it, so can we also get a 'ping' to say the OP is being taken down in real time?
This has happened so often that I'm reluctant to contribute in any meaningful way.

Thanks so much for the feedback, we can completely see how frustrating that is, especially when you’ve taken the time to write a thoughtful reply.

At the moment, we don’t have a way to notify users in real time when a thread is being removed outside of us posting on the thread beforehand. But you’re right, it would be really useful, and we'll look into what might be possible. We know the “unexpected error” message isn’t a great experience, and we’ll give this a proper look.

In the meantime, one workaround is to quickly refresh the thread before hitting post, ensuring you've also copied your reply, just in case. Not ideal, we know, but it can help avoid losing your reply if a thread’s been pulled in the background.

Thank you, Becky. I appreciate the consideration.
