All posts are back to op even when bookmarked

That’s it’s basically. Any thread I click on that’s on my wats on list - all take me to the op. Even threads I’ve started - all have been bookmarked so is book mark not working at the moment ?

Me too. This is driving me nuts.

Similar here, but not back to OP - just back to a random point upthread despite my bookmark. It’s driving me crazy and I’m spending what feels like hours scrolling to the correct point. This has happened before.

Mine also comes and goes but seems to be to the bottom of the page the bookmark is on. Android, Chrome.

Still doing it. I’m on an iPad mainly, also an iPhone, the latest IOS. Safari. Desktop site, never use the app.

It’s still happening @KellyMumsnet - any progress with this? I’m spending most of my time scrolling up and down, trying to find my place on all my threads. So incredibly frustrating and annoying.

Some good news and some bad news on this:

We've worked out that when we pushed an update to the app early last week there was a bug introduced where bookmarks weren't being honoured at all. It looks like this was the original issue the OP posted about here. We rolled back the change we made to this on Thursday, so it should now be more consistent now hopefully.

Unfortunately, in looking into this, we've also found another issue that's affecting bookmarks that means that when entering a thread on a specific post (eg through a push notification) users aren't always being taken to the right post. We're working on this right now. It won't be a very quick fix, we think, but as soon as there's an update we'll let you know.

edited to add: I tried to start a new thread and it saved as a reply to a completely different one 🤦‍♀️

I’m struggling to reply to anything. The infinity scroll “feature” means I can’t scroll to the bottom of the page to reply and if I use the + sign to reply it quickly scrolls to the reply box then bounces half way up the page. Only a speedy thumb trying to hold the comment box and make a mark in it before it bounces back up seems to work but who can be bothered with this?

Not been on MN in ages and it seems a nightmare to use… and the adds make it impossible too.

Thanks for the update @KellyMumsnet.This is still really frustrating though. It’s making MN very difficult to use if you’re on long threads as you just can’t navigate. I hope the slow fix means days rather than months.

(Dare I mention another issue that might be unique to me, but is also incredibly annoying? If I highlight part of a post in order to copy and then quote it in a reply, it seems to trigger some weird action that kicks me out of the thread completely. No idea what that’s about. But that’s new-ish too)
