Hi @beetr00 we generally remove threads about a thread when they’re likely to result in the OP of the original thread being perhaps unfairly scrutinised, criticised, or when they seem designed to stir up an argument. This is especially relevant when a thread is deleted because many posts break guidelines and a new thread is designed to keep the argument going.

In this case, we thought it better for the discussion to continue on the original thread rather than splintering into multiple conversations. We are totally fine with threads inspired by discussions elsewhere on the site, though, and we look at these things on a case-by-case basis.
