I’ve updated to the new app and today in a thread music started playing. My phone was on silent. It stopped when I came out the app so it was definitely that. I believe it was linked to an ad?

Really annoying.

I’ve not had an ad blocker but given the new ban on using them, MN really need to look at what ads they are allowing.

Thanks for the thread urls, everyone. Can anyone tell which ad it is that's playing the music here? If so, if you can share a screenshot of the ad that seems to be causing the music to play that would be great, too. And if you'd feel comfortable getting the click through URL and sharing that with us too that would also be really helpful. Thanks!
