MN taking you back to the last page you were on

Hurrah! After 3 months or so of the weird Chrome issue that seems sorted today.

However, now it seems to randomly take you back to the last page you were on. You can be happily typing out a reply and "poof " ✨ as if by magic you are transported back to where you were previously.

its like the thing you introduced that takes you to a new thread if you swipe the side of the page is on super sensitive overdrive and all you have to do is touch the screen and it's swiping back or forwards. Please can you get rid of the whole thing? Please???

@LilyMumsnet I’m on Safari, iOS 18.1.1, and I have the same issue. It’s UNBELIEVABLY annoying and often just makes me leave the site altogether. What is the point of it?! If I want to go back to the previous page, or be taken to a Trending thread, I’ll click on the link or back button!

It’s taking me back to active after reading 3 lines. iOS-no idea what version but vaguely recent. I do think I’ll give up soon as with the ads blocking up full pages it’s getting rather wearing…

I really wish you would reconsider this feature. It's annoying and pointless enough at the best of times but I tried to copy a part of a poster's post 3 times earlier and each time the act of pressing on the screen took me to 'next suggested thread' until I gave up. It's just a terrible feature that's now even worse.

Same here. It's awful! It's not the swipe feature, which is godawful, it's just pinging me back to active for no reason at all!
