Job Ads

What is the situation regarding Job Adverts? There is now a specific section for Jobs but there are not many posted there. Perhaps the reason for that is due to it costing to post Job ads on that board, but it being Free to post on other boards (within Mumsnet).

Can there be some clarification as to what is and isn't permitted with regard to Job adverts.

The Jobs board is for companies to advertise jobs to Mumsnetters.

Small business ads are for folks running a small business to advertise their wares.

There are now classified ads for buying and selling stuff on all the Local sites, so that's the place to go if you're trying to get rid of a sofa, or buy a piano, offer local services etc.

As for nannies, childminders etc. The Nanny/cm/au pair topic is still available for folks to look for a nanny/cm or offer their nanny/cm services as well as to discuss nanny/cm/au pair stuff. If you are looking for childcare or offering childcare services, your nearest Local site might be a better bet as folks are usually looking in a specific area.

At the moment this nannies, cm , au pair section of regular Talk seems to be being used pretty sensibly for Mumsnetters to offer services and recruit. If we felt an agency was taking advantage of the site to recruit/ advertise, we'd certainly intervene.

Hope this clarifies things - please do feel free to let us know if you disagree with the way this is running.
