Timestamp for OP's last post

Please, can you please add a timestamp for the OP's last post to the title?
It's really easy to do from a technology point of view, and would mean that rather than tapping on an interesting title, which appears in active., and wasting time to filter for OP posts, only to discover OP hasn't posted for a week, we could focus on active chats.

This would be really handy for “Liked that? You might like this” threads also, where someone hops on a year old thread to advise about holiday villas…

I'd really like this too.

I'd rather spend time in threads where the OP asks a genuine question, is engaged and open to discussion, rather than threads where the OP just plops something contentious then disappears.

I do tend to filter on the OP's posts before deciding if it's worthwhile spending time reading all the posts.

i will often filter OPs posts, but i do think this would be a great idea. May also help with the Zombie threads.

We always used to have the date a thread had been started, and the date of the last post in Active Convos. It was taken away to make the desktop site more like the mobile/app. I never understood why you'd remove functionality like this - as PP have said, it's really helpful to know when someone started/last posted on a thread.

Tbf, given that zombie resurrectors don't even look to see when the last POST in the thread was, I'm not sure this would help 😀

Speaking of zombie tthreads, and I'm sure this must have been asked for before, but could threads that have not been posted on for, say, 3 months, be locked to everyone except the OP and mumsnet admin please? I'm getting really fed up with clicking on a thread that someone has resurrected that's not been posted on for months, and in some cases, years. I'm an ex programmer and am fairly sure this would be easy to do programmatically - either a database job run regularly to set a locked flag for anything over x months old, or something in the front end to display such threads as read-only.

You can ask as much as you like @terceira but MNHQ simply refuse to do anything about it. Countless PP have made equally good suggestions, but they just get ignored.

I agree that this would be helpful. It's also like the option to 'see next' op post at the top of each page as well as on each post... I often want to read a few responses to an update from the op, but then find it a faff to navigate to their next post.

I am very shamelessly bumping this because no fewer than four times today have I clicked on a (large) post, filtered for OP posts and realised they never came back after their first.
Surely it bugs everyone?

We tend to measure interest level before introducing new feature. We're keeping an eye on this thread and if it looks like something that creates a lot of interest, we'll discuss it in the office.

@mnhq I think this would be really useful. I'd welcome it so much.
I also think it would help with zombie threads

@LilyMumsnet why are you referring to this as a new feature though? It was one that we had that MNHQ took away!

I'd like to be able to filter op's posts on the app but they cant even be arsed to do that

Adding my agreement. Would be really useful. I hate threads where the OP posts then never come back and waste my time going into the thread, filtering to op posts, then having to press 'back' twice so that I get back to the same version of the active threads list. 4 clicks when I could have just scanned the title in the list and moved on to something else.
