I’ve been a premium member of MN since it was first offered during the pandemic, I was happy to chip in for a site that has been part of my life for over 20 years. I have never really received any tangible benefits from it - I like having no ads, but could live with them if I had to. Most of the product testing and offers are more suitable for people with children much younger than mine (26 & 24), but I understand that I am no longer really the demographic the site are targeting.
However, it is a bit annoying to see in the daily email from a couple of days ago that new subscribers are being offered 50% off and a luxury gift basket. I don’t recall being offered any kind of token as a “thank you” when my renewal time comes around (April). It feels a bit like (as with insurance renewal etc) the loyal users are being ignored in favour of new subscribers.
Just me? Or does anyone else feel the same?
