Would it be possible to be able to click a button to 'hide' some of the posters names please.....

.....as some are really bugging me!

So, if poster ABCDE was on a thread I was on, I could press 'hide poster' and all of their posts on that thread would disappear!

I think it is a great idea and would save a lot of the 'eff offs' we are getting atm.

Please consider this MNHQ.

TIA

Oh don't hide me - I promise I'll play nicely!

collision · 14/03/2008 18:43

Maybe I am just having one of 'those' days!

There are a couple of posters I would like to hide because I just find MNet so sensitive atm.

I know I have a nice life and a fab partner and 2 great children but you are never really allowed to say that because there are people who dont have nice lives, abusive partners and difficult or disabled children and it is so sad but there isnt a lot I can do about that.

Then you get the smug aaarghyouwindmeup MNetters who havehadtogetridoftheircleanersandwhatthehellshouldido and I want to smack them!!

Day of my period. TMI. Sorry.

But where would the fun be?

There are a couple of posters I abhor, but I'd hate it if they stopped posting

Never heard of Woolford tights, what is great about them?

MrsMattie · 14/03/2008 18:59

I did think she might mean me, as I am a blunt poster (bordering on offensive, I have been told...oops!). However, I never wear tights and my son is eating choccie biccies for dinner, so she can't possibly mean moi.

No, no! I dont really mean it about a lot of people and I really am hormonal as I dont usually post such trite trash as this.

do you think MNHQ might come up with the famous button to hide posters though?

Mamazon, definitely not you. (Am a bit scared of you tbh but you certainly say what you think!!)

They look like porno-flick tights. I am seeing disturbing mental pictures of Mumsnetters in hold ups getting a good rodgering from the handyman....

princessosyth · 14/03/2008 19:03

Would you really do the housework in them? Or would you do just do a shimmy around with the hoover admiring your shapely pins?

If it helps, I think I already have the button against my name as everyone ignores me like they can't see what I've written.

Anyway, just in case, to op, I thought I'd advise you to go and eat some chocolate immediately as that is The Law in your condition.

I know LL.

As it is when I see 'Message deleted by MNet' or 'at poster's request' I say (out loud) 'Oh NO! what did I miss!'

Not practical or feasible.

Am going to drink more wine, eat some chocolate, have dinner with DH and watch Corrie.

I LOVE YOU ALL!

d'oh I never think of doing that LL

BecauseImWoeufIt · 14/03/2008 19:14

I think there should be some facility where you could scratch those words off the screen to see what's underneath them.

Surely Tech could manage that?

OliviaMumsnet · 14/03/2008 19:28

I'd like a button that would send me Wolford tights when I clicked on it.

PuppyMonkey · 14/03/2008 19:28

Littlelapin - is your computer broken? You can still see me!
