Amelia Hill, Social Affairs Correspondent for the Observer writes:

I am writing an article about the huge success of online parenting sites and why they are so useful.

I need to speak to a mother who can talk me through what sites like mumsnet.com mean to her - especially compared to parenting books or magazines.

As always, I'm afraid my deadline is very tight: I need to speak to someone tomorrow (Friday, 29th February), so can I please urge anyone who wants to help me to get in touch asap!

Many thanks

I would imagine with a case of DV she would be sensible enough not to use your name.
You could always email her if you're worried?
What do you mean she made you feel bad??

mehdismummy · 29/02/2008 12:01

lol. Its not if dh wil read the observer! I meant (probably paranoid) that she thought if i did not have you guys i would be beating ds. If i did not have ds i would have given up on life ages ago. Mn makes me feel i can cope and that people will listen. In rl nobody listens

VictorianSqualor · 29/02/2008 12:06

Of course you wouldn't be beating DS, but there is nothing wrong with needing a support network.
xxxx

mehdismummy · 29/02/2008 12:08

its been a lifeline to me. Dont even watch tv anymore! Makes me feel loved

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 29/02/2008 12:08

Gosh, I very much doubt she would have judged you like that. Perhaps she didn't expect such an honest and personal account? Good for you though, please don't worry.

I wish I could peak to her again today, last night I was a tad drunk and really tired and didn't make as much sense as I ought to have.

ah well

mehdismummy · 29/02/2008 12:10

thanks devil! When does it come out?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 29/02/2008 12:18

think it's this sunday, not sure which section. Is it observer women this weekend?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 29/02/2008 12:19

Although, actually they probably would have produced the magazine earlier in the week, so it may be in a 'paper' section.

mehdismummy · 29/02/2008 12:22

thanks devil! When does it come out?

mehdismummy · 29/02/2008 12:23

JustineMumsnet · 29/02/2008 15:12
