How do you choose what goes on FB?

Followed a link from FB to be told "thread deleted OP is a troll"
Why promote it on FB anyway?
Is there some sort of quality control?

Thanks for getting in touch about this.

We choose threads for Facebook in a similar way to those that we choose for daily - popular threads that users enjoy. However for Facebook, we share a much larger quantity and it's not always clear that when you share something, it was started by a troll. We'll always remove these when we spot them, but it is something that happens occasionally.
