Change tv/film site to ‘Entertainment’ and include radio, theatres, concerts etc

Perhaps radio goes with tv/film, and a separate section for live entertainment in the theatre, concerts etc?

As QueSyrahSyrah has mentioned, we do already have a topic where people can discuss theatre and other live events - it's called Culture Vultures and it's listed under the Fun And Games header.

We also have a dedicated topic for radio lovers -
Radio Addicts which can also be found under Fun And Games.

Our Films and TV topic currently houses Films, Podcasts and Telly Addicts sub-topics.

We're always open to new suggestions so we'll keep an eye on this thread and see what kind of feedback there is. Maybe all of these sub-topics could be housed under an Entertainment header so they're all in one place? Or maybe everyone likes things as they are? We'll see how it goes

I wouldn’t have thought to look for theatre etc under a category called Culture Vultures - the name doesn’t really mean anything to me.

I think a consolidated “Entertainment” (or “Arts and Entertainment”?) category bringing everything together is a great idea.

I love the theatre, have been on MN for years, and had no idea about the Culture Vulture section! How about 'Arts and Theatre' as a sub category?

I agree that culture vultures needs renaming though.

But would it be a problem for you keeping Telly Addicts but moving it to Entertainment rather than Fun and Games? I think that’s what JoMumsnet was suggesting, unless I’ve misunderstood completely?

Didn’t know about Culture Vulture either, and to be honest, I wouldn’t think of looking for theatre under ‘Fun and Games’ either - to me that conjures up board games, gaming, etc, not theatre, music and gigs.

Yes, that's what I meant! We definitely won't be getting rid of Telly Addicts, don't worry* *- I was just suggesting a (possible!) venue move.
