It unhid itself!

Scary stuff. I hid the Royal Family topic in exasperation and after the shenanigans today when it disappeared, it's now back and it's unhidden again! I've banished it once more and let's hope it gets the message this time.

On the app, you should see three dots to the right of the topic name, e.g. Site stuff, The Royal Family. When you touch the dots one of the options that appears is Hide.

I thought it was just because I’d switched devices.

For me on the iPhone app this was how:

3 lines at the top right
My mumsnet
Open additional MyMumsnet settings
(Need password at this stage as opens browser)
More settings
Talk settings
Scroll to bottom to organise hidden topics.

If anyone knows a simpler way please post as this is ridiculously fiddly for such a simple task. And if like me you stay logged in on app, never use desktop and forgot your password (as i always use completely unique one for here due to data breaches) may require a password reset.

Actually, thinking about it, I didn't test what I posted above as I managed to get it hidden via the website <smug> but possibly that three dots thing just hides the thread you're on. As the RF threads are springing up like mushrooms after rain in autumn, that would be a useless way to tackle the nuisance.

I had to unhide, as it was already on the hidden list, then hide again for it to work.
