Trending has old threads

I know we’ve had trolls deliberately resurrecting zombie threads but I almost did one myself just now when I clicked on a trending post that piqued my interest. It was only because I’d posted on it when it was first up that I realised it was old.

There have been no new posts on it since June.

Remove the entire feature.

What testing was done???? I fail to believe that NOBODY noticed the random threads being linked by one word like...

"My potatoes are salty "

Afternoon, everyone. We're still tweaking this as we go and are reading and making a note of the comments here, too, to feed into the tweaks we're making. Thanks for the continuing feedback. It's all useful.

Why the insistence on tweaking it though, @HebeMumsnet?

What is so important for MNHQ that you're not listening to any of us?

I really don't understand why you're all so insistent that this is a beneficial new feature.

The only thing I can think of is that you must have paid someone a lot of money to script this. In which case, look up 'sunk cost fallacy'!
