@MNHQ I have asked and asked there to be a different coloured banner at the top of a zombie thread, just like the MNHQ have commented one but not blue to show it is a zombie thread. Relying on that zombie image at the bottom is not stopping people posting. I think locking threads can prevent the OP returning and updating, rare but nice to have it.

I have also said that firstly, there is already a banner written into the coding and there is already criteria for a zombie thread in terms of dates so surely this cannot be that hard to implement? I am not a programmer and you have said that this is something you will look into. Years later, here we are still waiting. Isn't this now becoming a priority? I absolutely love MN and completely respect what you do but I hate it when idiots are trying to drown out the more urgent and important threads by resurrecting zombie ones.
