Twice tonight I’ve opened up a thread to find they are ancient. One was 15 years old. I know it gets asked all the time but please think about locking threads over a year old.

Hi @PriamFarrl we get how annoying it is to post on a thread only to realise it's a zombie. As previous posters have mentioned, sometimes the OP comes back to update people as we've seen on a few occasions this week - and so sometimes there's a really good reason for bringing an old thread back.
In any case, if you see a zombie thread that should probably stay that way, let us know and we can close it to new posts.

Hi @PriamFarrl - thanks for starting this thread and thanks to everyone else who's posted on it and reported all of these zombie threads.
We know how annoying it is when old threads are revived by a troll and we really appreciate all your suggestions. We're discussing the best way to deal with this issue again today and will post an update as soon as we can.
We're making sure all of these old threads are excluded from the list of active conversations. Thanks for bearing with us.
