When you suspect a troll

But have nothing to go on except a gut feeling or the post seeming massively unlikely in real life, do we still report? I know we shouldn’t troll hunt on the actual thread but it seems mean of me to report something when it’s just a feeling! They could be genuine.

I mostly just keep scrolling but if it’s an emotive/triggering subject then people get emotionally sucked in. Do Mumsnet get all eyerolly at people reporting for a suspicion?

Hi OP

Definitely no eyes rolling here! We're always happy to hear from you and have a chat behind the scenes.

We'd much rather you report to us so we can check things out and make sure everything is above board.
