Can you block an abusive poster?

Is there a way to block people on mumsnet? A person started swearing at me for my honest opinions and experience of a medical condition while growing up, and they have no intelligent other conversation either. Just dumb swear words.
I'm worried they might stalk me on other threads.
If I can't block them then don't think I will bother posting for a while, but then that's probably what they're trying to do, to bully me off here.

But can report the posts and also Change your name.

If they're consistently bullying or abusive MNHQ will ban them so do please report it.

You cant block a peron , also they could name change so it wouldnt work , report them to mnhq everytime they are nasty to you and dont engage with them on the thread at all .

Thank you, I will report the post. I feel they might be stalking me, as didn't like my opinion on a political page, and now following me onto more personal issues, as their swearing seems a bit extreme on the personal issues.
Or maybe it's just a coincidence.
I only really started posting yesterday and everybody seemed nice and normal until the one who started swearing at me today, which seemed like an extreme reaction.

They weren’t swearing at you, they swore to express shock at your post regarding asd.

You decided that they were making a personal attack and that they would stalk you. You are being quite paranoid.

No idea if there is a right or wrong to your situation op as I haven't read the threads but as previously said, report and ignore but that ship seems to have sailed.

Sorry I saw that thread earlier and you were not sworn at. That poster swore to express their shock at what you said regarding children with ASD.

Wouldn't surprise me, as you obviously have nothing better to do than follow people on mumsnet to annoy them and report their posts on other topics that have nothing to do with you. You're obviously the one with the problem.

There's no way it's just a coincidence that loads of people at once would join in a short time reporting my honest posts, so seems like mumsnet has a few psycho groups who gang up and bully people.

We're reporting you for being nasty to other posters - the exact same reason we encouraged people to report those being nasty to you.

OP said something along the lines that ASD children should be "trained" to behave in a socially acceptable way.
It was this sort of training that DS had to go through at school that caused him to have severe breakdowns once he got home as after 6 hours of being forced to pretend he was mentally and physically drained.
