Drop down menu keeps reverting back

Is there any reason why the drop down menu for "I'm on" section keeps reverting back to Recently Updated every time I come out of a thread? Is there any way to get it to stay on Date Posted:New to Old? Thanks!

There's not a way to get this to stay we're afraid - it will always revert to that default option.
