Only half of a comment showing

Is anyone else using the app (I'm on iOS) having issues with only half of a comment showing? Seems to be more when people are quoting but then it doesn't show their comment underneath.

Yeah it's pretty annoying. I don't want to use the website, I want to use the app. That's why I have the app!

Am noticing this in almost every quoted post - there's just the quote but not whatever was written in response to the quoted post

It's definitely getting worse, getting to the point it's not worth reading anything as half of it is missing constantly

I know I keep posting about this but you really need to sort it out. The app is basically unusable because most quoted posts don't have a full post underneath them and the website is full of massive banner ads or full page ones that down go away. You're going to lose so many users.

No firm news as yet we're afraid. Our developers are looking at the issue now though and we're hopeful they'll have something soon. As soon as there's any news we will post in site stuff and let everyone now.

I've been having the same problem with the app (latest version; iPhone IOS 16) but when I messed around with 'display' on my phone and reduced the text size I can see full posts. Unfortunately I can't use it like this as my eyesight isn't great so I need to set a higher preferred reading size. It seems the Mumsnet app is not supporting Dynamic Type (when I think it did previously)

Hi there @Chuffles . Yes, apologies - we're also aware of this issue with the dynamic text. We're having some work done on both these issues at the moment, but are prioritising the posts being cut off, so hopefully that will sort the problem for you anyway, but the text size problem will be worked on after that's sorted so that will be fixed, too. Thanks for your patience. We'll update as soon as there's news. Flowers

That's interesting @SpringIntoChaos - I can see what you've posted with the quote, but I've been experiencing the issue with loads of posts.

So it's not an issue with certain posts not showing up for all app users, it's just totally random?

(Not sure if I've made any sense there)

Maybe it's a marketing ploy to get people to log onto the website to actually be Able to read the thread..: more clicks = more money and all that.

It'll just make me delete my account and the app not go to the website
