But quite honestly it's largely a case of you should have left it alone!

The site update was a bloody disaster and I've barely been on mn since. The pms in particular are flaming murder to use now.

I sent an initial pm for first time in a while recently and omg! Painful!

You've removed the facility to simply pm by clicking the 3 dots on a posters post and it instantly sets up to message that person, now you have to search username etc

Quite frankly the best thing you could do all around is revert mn to the previous software.

It utterly baffles me how as a business run entirely online seems to not invest in decent IT. This is a long long ongoing issue with mn, from basic everyday use to its security (I have an email address I ONLY use for mn due to your NUMEROUS security breaches)

I totally agree that mn skimps on paying people too. Not just this kinda stuff but the night watch too

Mn should employ and property pay people to mod the site not rely on the goodwill of users who essentially are the product!

I don't really use the DM feature but imagine my surprise getting an email to say I'd been DMd by some random bloke using MN to hit on women! What a fucking creep. Well done MNHQ on zapping the relevant thread.

I don't think the PM function is available on the app so don't know. As a matter of interest - why is so much functionality missing from the app?

We're looking into what it would mean to add PM's and other features to the app. Survey's like this one are really helpful because they help us understand what people want, and when we know what people want, we know what we need to do to build it!

We'd love for you to join our Innovation Panel if you haven't already and are interested in taking part in some of the research we're doing.

It looks like the survey has closed but one thing that would be useful is the option to add attachments (probably only to Mumsnet staff members to reduce risk). I've had PM conversations running with the tech team but couldn't add screenshots of the issue.

I would like two modifications to the PMs:

1 For replies to display as a conversation, so that you don't have to keep flicking to between sent and received folders.

1. For PMs to be part of the app functionality.
