Can we have the board used more prominent in the OP?

There is a horrible thread on the tattoo forum at present, where someone has asked for advice and got dozens of the usual 'Ugh tattoos' comments. I imagine the OP thought she was posting in a friendly area, only people have clicked on the topic from trending and found themselves on the thread in a specific forum. OP hasn't been back, which is a shame as amongst all the pointing and laughing were several constructive comments with advice.

Surely to avoid things like this it would be better to have the forum the post is in within the OP? Or clearer at the top of the thread?
I realise people don't read, hell someone is being told how to remove a tick 3 days later on AIBU, but it might help some of the slightly more observant.

Hi OP

Thanks for the suggestion.

We're actually looking at that thread now - and have removed it from the trending block whilst we do that.

It's in the right topic but we understand where you're coming from - we'll have a chat about it but it's unlikely to change for the time being.

It's a shame that OP has posted in what she assumed was a safe, helpful space with like minded people for that to happen.

How about excluding threads from that forum in the trending box then @LilyMumsnet ?
Surely thats a very easy fix.

@KilledByWitches thank you. We can exclude boards from active/trending but this also has the consequence of making them harder to find. We can also take individual threads out, which often helps if things are not going well.
