Ad covering whole page

Chrome on laptop. The Irish ferries ad keeps covering the whole page and doesn't disappear, making it impossible to look at any threads.
At the bottom of the ad it says to scroll down to read threads ---- this doesn't work, the ad just follows down. Please, please sort this out!

I’m seeing ads blacking out the page & covering content YET AGAIN. Chrome on iPad. MN is the ONLY site I use regularly which is constantly rendered almost unusable by these issues. My patience with this nonsense is exhausted. I’m off until it’s sorted.

Happened twice today. Pampers

The site is becoming unusable this evening. I'm being stalked by Polly Pocket ads that block the whole screen.
Using Samsung Tab3.

I still get the Irish Ferries ad hijacking the whole screen in Chrome. It makes the site totally unusable unless you refresh. Then you lose what you were typing.

I've had the 'rotate your device' message, and also a 'Remember Polly Pockets' which takes up the entire screen.
ipad/Safari.

It's back again. Please make it go away!

Not fixed. This came up while I was reading the op. I can scroll to the rest of the thread but I can't finish reading the op.

Doesnt MNHQ test these ghastly ads beforehand?!

Black screen of death suddenly appears, then it forces the user (literally) to rotate their device to portrait orientation (why???) so that on an iPad it gives you a tiny little portrait sized soft keyboard.

totally unusable frustrating and annoying.

I used to love Polly Pocket, not any more, she can do one.

Hi, I’m still having issues with a giant black “rotate your screen” ad on Safari on iPad. I have tried to close it multiple times, and told Google I don’t want to see it, it it is still blocking my screen.

Still getting massive Irish ferry advert that blocks everything. Hopeless. Safari on Mac.

Irish Ferries ad is still unscrollable past, it covers the whole screen and you have to refresh in order to get a different ad to read the page. However, I also had the problem on the Guardian website earlier today with the same Irish Ferries ad, so I don't think it's just a MN issue. I'm using Chrome on Desktop.

I searched to see if there was a thread on this topic to report it and when I found this thread, the Irish Ferries ad has blocked it completely twice. It's really annoying and makes me leave the site entirely as there is no point if I can't read the threads (often I can't even read the OP).

Yep, still happening. MS Edge on laptop. I wouldn't even mind if I could actually just scroll past, but that mechanism doesn't work - If I scroll it goes to the bottom of the screen.
This site is becoming unusable until this is fixed.

Same here. Irish ferries ad keeps blocking the entire page and can't be scrolled past. I got half way through typing something but had to scrap it and leave the site. Logged back in, got half way through re-typing, and it happened again.
