"Other stuff" section used to sit just below Mumsnet stuff which made sense alphabetically

I just noticed tonight that it has been moved down to the bottom of the subjects list.

Why is that? It's only changed today so can't be part of the new updated Mumsnet that everyone is complaining about or is it pet of that? Why is it only kicking in today when al the other changes happened a week ago.

Don't know why it had to change at all it was fine where it was 😠

It’ll be OK - you’ll get used to it.

Came on here to ask just that.

Why put the menu alphabetically except this?

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZ O.

Refer to UX 101 pls, design people!

Exactly - it's kind of bloody irritating to be honest!

I wondered about it too …

And hoped there’s no nefarious reason for making those topics less visible.

imstilljenny2 · 01/05/2022 16:57

It's annoying! I look at Scotsnet every once in a while and each time I look for it I forget Other Stuff is at the bottom! I've got a mind like a sieve. I spend 5 mins looking in other topics before I remember.

MichaelMumsnet · 01/05/2022 17:33

Hi all. Not sure why it was at the bottom of the list. We've nipped in and put it back into a more pleasing alphabetical order now.

TottersBlankly · 01/05/2022 17:36

That’s good.

Thank you, MichaelMumsnet.

Ahahaha great! That's a result 😅👍🏻

UX = user experience, in technology speak.

If you're designing a system or app, ESPECIALLY a non-essential one that people have a choice to use, it's a basic, fundamental element that you have a User Experience team member determine how the user wants / will naturally use and flow through the system.

To make sure it works for them, they like it, it's natural, and they don't get pissed off and go somewhere else!

Ah thank you @EinsteinaGogo 😊
