Hi all,
As you probably know we re-plaftormed the site overnight on Tuesday (in order to move to a faster, more stable and secure site which would be easier to develop new features on). There are a number of issues and bugs as a result of the move that we are working through and we thought it would be a good idea to list them on a page which we can keep updated as we sort through the problems. You can find that page here.

Mumsnet is a very large, complicated and old site - we've been working on re-platforming for the best part of 3 years - so it's not a huge surprise there are some bugs but please be assured we are working our way through them will get to them all as soon as we possibly can. In the meantime I do apologise for any inconvenience and frustration - I know it's been a painful day and a half for some.

Thank you to all those who've fed back and are helping us solve the remaining issues - it's really much appreciated Flowers.

Are you considering the comments about the dates reading today/yesterday and older than that being in dd/mm/yyyy format being much easier to work out how recent stuff is?

Keep being logged out (despite hitting keep me logged in) and when I sign in takes me to an error code page. Which I then have to go back 2/3 pages to find what I was looking for!

also, whoever did your replatforming needs to be crediting you for all these issues. Basic stuff guys? Who did your UAT?

I'm paying good money for MN premium, which I only took out to financially support the site. Most of the product trials are irrelevant to me and I'm not particularly bothered about ads. But for a whole day now I get "there's something wrong with your internet connection" on whole topics, including my favourites AIBU and Chat but some random ones load with no problem such as Covid and London Confused

The new search facility is really bad. Worse than before
please revert to the old Advanced Search.

loaded images are tiny and virtually useless.

We’ve changed the way the pages are laid out - to go to the last page you just need to click the highest number in the list

the word last in bold font physically takes up more space than a numeral. This means it is easier for users to navigate to. Especially for users with issues with dexterity. It’s much more user friendly.

can you bring back the

I think I'll get used to it. I miss the option to easily go to a page of my choice though. Even if it were a different way of doing it (click on the ... to bring up a box you can type in perhaps?) I'd be happy.

(I'd really prefer the usernames to be blue again as well.)

Just typed a whole post and lost it when attaching the image didn't work. It used to be that you could at least go back to the page after something went wrong and your typing would at least still be there.

Many posts are still full of formatting code on the app, which makes them unreadable. I am trying to attach an image that shows this.

Also on the app, the colour change to show I've read a post isn't lasting - in threads I'm on, or threads I'm watching, the titles will go blue when I've read them. But when I refresh the page, some of them will go back to white again, even when nothing has changed on the thread. It just remains constantly in an unread state.

When I click to go to the notification page ... "YOU HAVE NO NOTIFICATIONS".
Which makes checking back on threads/OP's I gave a shit about almost impossible.

If that's a bug most users are encountering, & it doesn't get fixed in short order, PP simply won't bother to invest their time and content on MN. There are plenty of other places to arse about on the 'net ... & I wonder how many users will migrate to them.

That's wrong actually. The tio thread count shows the number of threads I have been on and only a few that had been hidden by me or deleted by you were showing. So this meaning number count on threads is way out but number of threads actually showing in tio was not too far off

I can't access any posts at all now on my iPhone- I get a 400 error. I've had to download the app just to be able to post this.

When I could get on a day or two ago, when I clicked on "request desktop site" so that I could view mumsnet as I would on a laptop, it the new site no longer allows that to happen when on my phone. That's my preferred way of viewing as I just can't get on with the mobile view.

im still having issues

  1. I can’t post at all via the apps. It just keeps saying to retry.

2). My ‘threads I’m on’ list is incomplete. For example on the ‘raging at the world’ thread I need to go to my ‘watching’ list to find it, even though I have posted on it.

I’m using an iPad or iPhone

Sorry not topic titles, I mean thread titles. In the long list of threads. Yesterday they'd gone back to cold, which was easier to read, but now they're not again.

When there is formatting in a thread (e.g., bullet points), it doesn't work when the thread is in a list (e.g., threads I'm on) where you see previews of the post; the threads overlap so that the writing is on top of the earlier thread on the list

On the view all posts thing - I have my account set to show 100 posts per page because that's a workable number for me on my phone and means I don't lose my place etc.

I would have often used the View All Posts functionality to scan a long thread or to search for a key word. I don't want to change my settings to view all posts on all threads, just do it quickly for the occasional thread.

The combination of the removal of that feature and the useless search function means it's much harder to find relevant informaton.

Bookmarking still not working on the app Sad

There's been a slight bit of progress in that they work for a short while and then default back to some time on Tuesday Confused

Also, some threads are kicking you out of MN every time you try to scroll back/forward to catch up (because the bookmarks aren't working Hmm). The two that this is happening to me are long ones (over 600 posts) so I don't know if that is the problem. They're the Ukraine thread and the original thread on Site Stuff about the upgrade long because of all the problems Confused

When I click on a thread title in trending, new or active and then press back, it goes back to the first tab (active) and to the top of the list so I can’t get back to where I was in going down the threads.

I agree with the request for 'Today' to show on today's posts and I'm not keen on having such a tiny numeral to click on to navigate through threads. Similarly I think the tiny arrow at the side to go to a post in TIO is difficult. My co-ordination isn't what it was due to disability and I struggle to tap such a tiny target.
It feels like accessibility has been forgotten.
