How to get rid of the first OP at the top of every page?

The new format repeats the first original post at the top of every single page, making it look like a new post from the OP but it isn't. Does anyone know how to get rid of this bloody annoying feature?

I have to admit, I thought it was the same in the old format? But maybe I've a very short memory!

On the old format there was an option to see next, see all or see op. That's the only thing I can remember though!

It's awful. Even more annoying if you've flipped the thread to show newest first as it still appears.

It was a different colour

You can change the colours back to how you had them, in your settings.

In the old one it was "minimised" after the first page, and you could click to expand it if you wanted to see it again. I think that was better!

@EstherMumsnet thanks for the settings link but there's no option that deals with the first OP post reappearing at the top of every page. It's really intrusive, it also appears at the top of each page when you only look at the OP's posts, so then they're not in order.

I also can't see the 'flip' option (used to be top right) when you only look at the OP's posts.

I'd also like this to be fixed. For long OPs it takes ages to scroll through the same thing on each page.

What is really annoy is that if you flip the thread to read it with "most recent" at the top, it doesn't flip the OP with the thread which it used to do (although, to be fair, this might have been a feature of Classic)

There no option on the settings page to hide the OP on subsequent pages! Or at least not on mine. Perhaps it's a Premium feature? Hope not
