Oh no, I don’t mind all the other changes but really struggle with nested replies. It really changes the way people have conversations. I’m not one to whinge and think most people get used to changes after the initial upset but I think this will fundamentally change the site not melodramatic at all

I could only italicise on MN by putting the little ^ symbol before and after a word. And it would all go wrong if you left a space or combined it with another symbol.

This will get VERY messy very quickly!!!!

I think nested replies will be really useful when you get those couple of posters who derail the thread by having stupid arguments with each other over nothing. You’ll know at a glance, ‘oh, it’s them again, just scroll on by…’🥱😂

I hate it. I can imagine that on a thread that turns into a bit of a bunfight what's been done lightheartedly on here will happen for real. You don't need to see every post from the first one and ALL the replies.

I hate nested replies. So messy.
Don't like the emojis either. I only like MN emojis on MN.

If you want to just quote part of a post then copy, paste and italic it. Tis what we did before we could quote.
