I understand mn needs to have ads - but I’m getting ones of animal cruelty and that is beyond the pale. I’d rather see a vagina candle in situ.

I’m out for the rest of the day at least - I’m going to be upset all day now.

KatherineJaneway · 08/04/2022 05:51

Agree. Makes the site hard to read on my mobile.

Turningpurple · 08/04/2022 06:00

Why?

samsonthecat · 08/04/2022 06:16

Same here. Non scrolling ad blocking half the screen.

Maggiesgirl · 08/04/2022 06:23

Same here can't be bothered to try and read the thread with the size of the advert.

comealongponds · 08/04/2022 06:24

They’re awful, please get rid of them, they’re making the site unusable

Ylvamoon · 08/04/2022 06:31

Yep, I gave up yesterday in the hope they would be gone this morning....
But nope, still there!
See ya later, alligator!

Turningpurple · 08/04/2022 06:31

My entire screen taken over by this

OutlookStalking · 08/04/2022 06:34

Mayve they're test runs to see our tolerance for them...

OutingHobby · 08/04/2022 06:37

I've got 2 cows

Onceuponatimethen · 08/04/2022 06:38

Yes it’s bad. Almost impossible to read site on my iPhone

liveforsummer · 08/04/2022 06:57

I'm so glad I haven't had the foot. Wtf does the maker of that advert think will encourage people to a product. The mid thread ads are also a massive pain. Keep clicking on them when i scroll by accident so it will look like where actually interested, which I certainly am not 😏

Sinuhe · 08/04/2022 07:05

I just leave this screenshot here!

@SinisterBumFacedCat

50p and a lb of grapes to anyone who can accurately explain what is going on in this picture?

Ivy Tilsley boat tours of the Manchester canals?

OutingHobby · 08/04/2022 08:13

I saw this on my "threads I'm on" and thought someone had an ad of a Sinister Bum Faced Cat.

Disappointed.

dudsville · 08/04/2022 08:24

This thread has made me laugh so much! My phone still prefers the blank screen.

Good morning - we are on the case with this as we speak. Thank you all for your patience with it.

Please can you let us know which devices you are using?

Also - are the ads coming after the OP on threads, or halfway through the threads?

Beamur · 08/04/2022 09:41

Android device.
Once you click on a thread the giant photo appears and stays there. You can't actually see what it is for as it seems only to be a part of the image. I keep getting a girl with a ponytail or a woman with blond bobbed hair either side profile or the back of her head!

GodspeedJune · 08/04/2022 09:45

iPhone here on safari. The ad appears above even the OP for me, and as you scroll down the page it follows you instead of staying static at the top.

EmbroidedFlowers · 08/04/2022 09:46

@KimMumsnet it can also come on the 'active' page before I even click on a thread.

StageRage · 08/04/2022 09:50

Same here.

Mobile version on iPhone is unusable: only 1-1.5 Cms of posts are visible. That bloody cow!

KimMumsnet · 08/04/2022 10:29

As we (understandably) have a few threads running about this in Site Stuff now, we are going to stick to one thread to post any updates about this. We will close this thread now, please go to this thread for any further updates: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/4524241-Huge-ads-not-scrolling
