Why can't we have a thread on one page? I appreciate the advertiser argument but I give up on threads now so don't see the adverts anyhow.

Unfortunately only MNers who joined the site prior to 2016 (I think!) are able to view all 1,000 posts on one page.
Just to explain, we had to restrict this option to new joiners because 1,000 posts per page was causing loading issues for lots of MNers. Since making the change, we've had fewer issues.
If you click on our Talk Preferences page and scroll down to Talk Options you'll be able to choose how many messages per page you can see (10, 25, 50 etc).
