Rather than mobile site on an iPhone? I need to block a subject but can only do that on desktop site.

Hi OP, there used to be a tab at the bottom of the home page where you could switch from the mobile site to the desktop one, but that's long gone, we're afraid.

Are you using an iPhone or Android phone? It's worth having a quick Google search to see how to switch from mobile sites to desktop on your device.

If you're using a newer iPhone you can type this into the search bar -www.mumsnet.com/Talk/topic-choice - then tap on the Aa icon at the top left of the screen and then select 'Request Desktop website'.

If you don't have an Aa icon, tap and hold on the refresh button (the round arrow) at the top right of the address bar, then click on 'Request Desktop website'.

Hope that helps!

Sorry, I missed the very obvious bit in your opening post saying you're on an iPhone. Blush

So what happens when you tap on the Aa bit at the top left of the screen? Does it not give you the 'Request Desktop website' option?

Hi OP

Above posters are right - you're no longer able to switch between mobile and desktop. Sorry about that!

@Blondeshavemorefun I have an even crappier iPhone 5! Grin

I don't have the Aa function on my phone but it works for me if I click on the link - topic choice and then hold down the refresh button (the curly arrow) at the top right of my (teeny tiny) iPhone 5 screen... Don't just tap it, you have to hold it down - you should then get a menu that pops up at the bottom with the 'Request Desktop Site' option.

@FatFucker - looking at your first screenshot, you seem to have Aa showing in the top left of your screen. Can you try once more? As per above, you have to hold it down, rather than just tapping on it.

And yes, it's a shame about not being able to see AIBU votes in the app. We can't have everything, though!
