Can't scroll past some adverts

I'm on an android phone using chrome, on some threads I will reach an advert and then cannot scroll past it!

If I remember rightly, I saw a thread saying the same thing l, so I didn't post as I assumed it would be fixed, it still seems to be happening though!

Yes, same for me. The thread gets "stuck". I also browse with Chrome and have an android phone.

Just to double check, are you accessing via the web browser rather than the app?

If you are able to send any screenshots over that would be super helpful.

This is happing to me too on an android using the browser not app.

Looks like it's a web issue and not an app issue but if anyone thinks we've got this wrong then let us know.

I will try switching browsers, but it's a bit ridiculous if mumsnet is incompatible with chrome seeing as it's the browser most android users use

It happens sometimes when I try to scroll past a particularly big ad, and it causes the page to freeze, first entirely and then it will allow me to refresh the page and carry on. I'll try and get some screenshots.

I'm using Chrome as well.

I get this too, android and chrome. It's really annoying when it freezes everything. I haven't got time to wait like it's the 90s internet!

Yeah the same for me. I wouldn't download a different browser just for mumsnet either.

Same here. Chrome on android also. It works fine for every other website and it suita me to use it so I won't be switching browsers either!

Yes. I came looking for a thread to complain as I had assumed it was deliberate to make you look at the ads.

Same here, also Android and Chrome. It doesn't always happen - in fact there's no pattern to it. Very annoying!

Also happening to me again. This has been going on for ages now.

Trending seems to be fixed but now I get this all the time. It takes virtually the whole screen. They s site is becoming unusable.

I've also been getting this for weeks (Chrome on Android). It seems to be getting worse. Very frustrating!

Oh yes me too! I thought it was my phone but it doesn't happen on other sites. Also android/chrome.

Although just noticed @mnhq last posted in this thread two weeks ago so they obviously aren't bothered about fixing it!

Same here, iOS app. Doesn't seem to be specific threads or adverts.

This is back for me and happening all the time. I can’t scroll back up the thread or search as it blocks out the whole screen.
I don’t mind small ads, I know you have to make a living but come on!
