Is it possible for a poster to not appear in advanced search even if they are currently posting?

Seems odd to me, even if they've changed name or are new, surely the current posts they are making should appear?

Yes. Unless search isn't working or you're putting the name in wrong eg capital i mistaken for lower case l

I copied and pasted it to make sure, and added a space before and after just in case.

I'll try search someone else on the thread to check.

Another person showed up, did a completely open search for the username and got a thread from May, might just be a glitch.

Are you looking for a lost thread ? Wouldn’t the pages that you looked at be in your history?

No, i was curious about the posting history of a poster on a thread and wanted to see whether they'd posted before but even the thread they are on wasn't appearing.

This is happening to me too. Copying and pasting the name with no results.

Mine was resolved as I'd contacted via the report post function.

Hi was about to post a thread about this but saw this one.

I’ve been unable to see any threads using the posters username search field. This isn’t one specific poster. It’s been every time I’ve searched for the last week or so. No threads showing despite them having threads running.
