Slow and error pages?

Yesterday evening the site was very slow to load pages and at one point was showing not available and error notices. This afternoon the pages are still very slow to load. I'm on a laptop and using Google Chrome.

We've just had a whole bunch of reports about duplicate posts and duplicate threads, so we're aware something's up!

Really sorry for any inconvenience this is (clearly!) causing. We're on the case and will hopefully have everything running smoothly again fairly soon.
