Not much point doing that when there's an ad next to you flashing up "How do you fake Santa's footprints?"

where? and who was ad for - did you see?
Will put a stop to it straight away if we can get more info. It will have come through the agency that serve our ads. SORRY!

Unfortunately the folks who serve our ads have all gone home for the eve (what they have a life and we don't ?) But we will get onto them first thing tomorrow and get this sorted.
Meantime would it help if this thread disappeared into a puff of fairy smoke or shall we leave it to warn folks to be vigilant tonight? Obviously all mini mumsnetters will now be tucked up in bed so it shouldn't be a problem ?

Ok so now am in trouble... having stuck my santa-size boots in it, apparently it's not so easy to remove the ad or amend it and the rest of MNHQ are keen to point out that the footprints could be for decoration - in same way you have "fake" santas climbing up the outside of your house - or you do outside some houses anyway. We agree it's not brilliantly phrased and will mention this to the Children's Society, but it seems at this stage of the campaign there's probably not heaps we can do.
So major politician like u turn on my part - do you think you can live with it and use the decoration line if any mini mumsnetters ask?
And again, do you think we should make this thread self-destruct after a set time..it's probably worse than the ads now .....
