Chrome/Android 400 Bad Request

Periodically getting a 400 Bad Request error message when trying to connect through Chrome/ Android 11/Pixel 3XL which is fully updated

It also often displays the same error when clicking through from Gmail which launches with the default browser

I am able to connect using Opera so I guess the issue is entirely with my phone but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to be able to fix it.
