Hi MN,
I was just looking back at my previous threads and noticed the thread from FWR about the government consultation on violence against women/girls had been moved to "petitions and activism" shortly before the end time of the consultation.
Obviously it's a bit late now, but just wanted to flag this up and ask why it was moved there, as a) it's not a petition, nor "activism" as such, but a government consultation which I believe even MN had been promoting for people to complete, according to some posts on the thread, and b) surely as such, FWR was a very appropriate place for it and to encourage women with an interest in stopping VAWG to complete it, whereas the "petitions" topic (which is very quiet) was hardly likely to help anyone notice that the consultation was active and about to close.
Not much that can be done about it now of course as the consultation will now have closed, but I wanted to mention it to understand the reasons for the move and maybe prevent this happening to similar things in future, as this is obviously a very important topic for MNers.
Thank you!
