Please can we have the 'ignore thread' clicky back?

The ignore link has disappeared from the thread title in Active Conversations. I loved it - so fast, to click away threads you know from the title are not of interest.

Thanks for putting the Hide link when you are actually reading a thread.

zippitippitoes · 02/11/2007 16:01

FlameFromBonfire · 02/11/2007 16:01

Although I have just realised that I have been on "muted" for a few days now and have gotten used to it

OldWotzBat · 02/11/2007 20:55

you can't please everyone al lof the time

But is certainly gave rise to some nasty comments about some threads so i am glad it's gone

Maybe we could have a warning to avoid any threads where c od mentions her blog? (again)

sparklesandwine · 02/11/2007 21:03

lol wotz now there's an idea!

Tech · 03/11/2007 13:10

Hi, you can put this link back now if you like and are logged in. On the customise page, there's an extra option marked "Put "hide" link on Active Convs?" - if you set that back to yes it does what is says on the tin.

ExplosiveScienceT · 03/11/2007 13:11

Fab! Thanks Tech!

Tech, I can't save the hide link as yes - just reverts back to no.

AitchTwoOh · 03/11/2007 13:15

excellent work, tech.

now, what is cod's blog again? i posted a comment on it about telly and it weems there are some rather gaping holes in the fish's knowledge...

ExplosiveScienceT · 03/11/2007 13:17

Mine is working, Angharad

OP posts:
AngharadGoldenhand · 03/11/2007 13:19

Unfortunately mine isn't, EST. I've changed it about 6 times now and it just won't stay.

RustyBear · 03/11/2007 13:19

It works if you use the save changes button at the botttom, instead of the one Tech's put next to the menu box.

ExplosiveScienceT · 03/11/2007 13:20

That's the one I used (the bottom one)

AngharadGoldenhand · 03/11/2007 13:21

Thanks RB!

GunpowderDragonsAndSoup · 03/11/2007 13:26

[picky]

It's fab, but, but... can it be like it was before where it didn't refresh the Active Conversation page? This refreshes it and removes the thread whereas before it just changed the red message at the top and when you next refreshed Active conversations they all vanished.

Tech · 03/11/2007 13:30

RB / AG, I've changed the buttons a bit to make it more obvious what's going on.

GunpowderDragonsAndSoup, that unfortunately didn't work on all versions of safari so some people on macs couldn't use it at all. We'll maybe but back for people on browsers that support it, but I'm not promising nothing no sir not at all.

GunpowderDragonsAndSoup · 03/11/2007 13:33

Personally I think that serves them right for using Macs

Furball · 04/11/2007 07:11

please don't give us coloured text - I don't want to read a bright pink post then the next one a yellow one. If you do, can you make is so us old folk can only have it in black and white my eyes wouldn't be able to cope. - It will be like mumsnet on e numbers

JustineMumsnet · 05/11/2007 09:02

Yes furball please don't worry - what we'd like to do is to customise the "viewing experience", so if you want to view the font as pink you can, but the default will stay as is. But that's a little way away anyway.
