So what do we think will be in it...

A button that when you press it, the OP's head explodes

A button which translates cdo spaek into English

An tickbox whereby, whenever you start a AIBU thread, you only see the replies that agree with you

Surely there should be a new "Cod's Blog" item on the menu at the top!

beautifuldays · 25/10/2007 11:22

how exciting, customisable talk....

Batbat · 25/10/2007 11:24

I am so glad I'm off sick today.

gizmo · 25/10/2007 11:24

I want a 'sticks fingers in ears' function.

MamaG · 25/10/2007 11:25

Oh no, I predict a load of posts saying "what? Where? I can't see that" etc etc

anyway, where is this customisable talk of which you speak?

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 25/10/2007 11:29

To be able to decide which topics we see, etc, maybe block threads from our own active convos... there were so many suggestions, who knows which ones are coming in.

gizmo · 25/10/2007 11:29

this thread WWW

MamaG · 25/10/2007 11:30

who? WHO? The mystery of BWA must be solved

beautifuldays · 25/10/2007 11:30

i think that you know how you can exclude buying/selling/in the news etc etc, well, i think the plan is to be able to choose all topics you want/don't want on active convos. i think...

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 25/10/2007 11:30

Here, from Justine:

"This will give you a facility to ignore a particular thread - ie remove from your active conversations list - as well as the ability to ignore whole topics."

Ah thanks Gizmo!

Ooh, so now we'll be able to say "I am bowing out and adding this to TICS" (threads I can't see)

WideWebWitch · 25/10/2007 11:32

MamaG · 25/10/2007 11:33

MerlinsBeard · 25/10/2007 11:34

gizmo · 25/10/2007 11:34

I'm not too keen on VisiGoths, either. Can we get them out?

JustineMumsnet · 25/10/2007 11:39

It's coming this afternoon (somewhere in the middle) and you all have to promise please to play with it for at least ten minutes before you start wailing "Who, what, why, when".

And before anyone starts panicking, we promise there will be a Mumsnet Classic option for all conservative, dyed in the wool MNetters who like it like it is and can't think why we wanted to mess with it anyway. (ie A "Change it back!" option, which given bitter experience we thought we'd introduce at the same time as change )

If you like it - twas my idea - if you hate it look no further than the shed.

What happened with Classic Coke - is there a moral to the story?
