They've got to make some money! I bet this one's profitable!

suzywong · 25/10/2004 14:22

glad to see I'm not the only one who isn't over joyed at this intrusive example of blatant commercialism - surely this site is run for our exclusive benefit and nothing should mar that happy one way street

Actually it is really pissing me off, having to move the browser along to read more than the title of the the convresation

MOVE IT PLEASE

zebra · 25/10/2004 14:44

doesn't bother me... (in the minority, I know)

MissusWoman · 25/10/2004 14:45

they're only trying to make money to keep the site afloat

suzywong · 25/10/2004 14:46

yeah yeah yeah but it's in the way of MY pleasure

Aero · 25/10/2004 14:48

It is a bit 'in your face', it has to be said!

Bunglie · 25/10/2004 15:31

Problem is you can't see if you are where you want to be...without scrolling down....

OH this is not Bunglie......as I said I would strike until it is reduced....but I am addicted

Mumsnet! Tech! What have you done?

popsycal · 25/10/2004 15:32

too big

nasa · 25/10/2004 15:34

oh come on, stop being mean - it's only an ad. That's how mumsnet keeps going. It takes what... .005 seconds to scroll past it?!

whimsy · 25/10/2004 15:35

too big

BadHair · 25/10/2004 15:53

Hate the thing, really annoying. I am deliberately not going to buy one in protest.

Justine (mumsnet) · 25/10/2004 15:57

We'll shrink on condition you all buy a video camera. Apologies - too big - Tech's got no flair for design. (duck!)

Bunglie · 25/10/2004 15:59

Justine

tech · 25/10/2004 16:01

I done it big deliberate to cause a bit of aggro.

WigWamBam · 25/10/2004 16:08

Stirrer!

Thank you for making it smaller again!

Justine (mumsnet) · 25/10/2004 16:27

See... he doesn't deny he's got no flair for design

princesspeahead · 25/10/2004 16:28

doesn't even tell you the price. why would you click on the link without even knowing if it is a bargain or not? hmm

WigWamBam · 25/10/2004 16:30

But does MN get anything if we click on it?

Justine (mumsnet) · 25/10/2004 16:36

Good point about the price PPH - I'll let the advertisers know they should include. WWB we sometimes get money per click and sometimes per sale and sometimes per page impression - depends on the ad - but in general it's helpful to click even if we are not paid by the click because it improves our stats and makes it more likely we'll get repeat advertising.
Thanks for asking and for clicking!

Kayleigh · 25/10/2004 16:38

Wow !!! Must say I'm Impressed by speed of action Thanks tech & Justine

Tinker · 25/10/2004 16:41

zubb · 25/10/2004 16:42
