What's the logic MNHQ? *trigger warning for discussion of suicide*

If someone who is suicidal posts to seek support and solidarity and their post is deleted with that advice that they can post again on the MH board.

Why not just move it and give them the option to ask for it to be deleted? When someone posts for support and to not feel so alone, why just delete it?

Makes no sense at all to shut someone down when they're desperate and reaching out.

Hi OP

Thanks for getting in touch about this - we think we know the post being referenced here.

We genuinely are sorry for any upset caused by the removal of threads - we take our advice on this topic from top mental health charities, and we are advised not to publish methods. They come up on google search, which is one of the reasons we don't allow the discussion of method, due to the influence it could potentially have.

We really would have liked for the OP to repost without the method, so that they could get the support they were looking for.

@Someone1987

That annoyed me about my post. In fact they didn't even post the samaritans standard they copy and paste. They just deleted it and left me feeling worse and even more unheard. Not sure why I'm even on this site anymore.
Hello

We would normally email you and post on your thread.

We are very sorry that you didn't receive anything from us. That isn't our policy and it looks like a mistake our end, which obviously needs to be investigated. We're looking into it now. Flowers
